About

Thanks to the insightfulness of some great people I know, I have come to realize that Christians everywhere stand to gain a lot from a better understanding of science and of its implications in religion. Science is being wielded against us. Science is being treated as the antithesis of faith. But the relationship between religion and science should not be so hostile.

Clouded vision leads people to think that scientific breakthroughs such as the theory of evolution or the big-bang theory spell the end for our belief in a Creator. But they don’t! A closer look will show that these findings are not inconsistent with the Word of God.

Furthermore, if we know that Christ is our God and our King, how can these small matters convince us otherwise? Christian faith does not rely on these scientific findings being wrong. Ask yourself: what is your Rock? Do you cling to you belief that the Earth is only thousands of years old and not billions? Do you cling to the idea that God molded Adam in a day and not over millions of years of carefully guided evolutionary processes? Don’t! Instead, cling to Him, and let science guide you to a more complete understanding of Him.

Science has been immensely successful in describing and predicting the nature of the universe. How can we say that the Earth is so young when the evidence contradicts this so strongly? How can we remain adamant that evolution is a hoax when it has become such a cornerstone for the biological knowledge that keeps us healthy? Instead, let us learn from these things. Let them help us to interpret the bible more correctly and more confidently than was previously possible, forming a clearer picture of God and of His will for us than ever before.

I hope that through this blog I may provide Christians with the knowledge they need to answer questions about science and religion both with scientific correctness and faithfulness to Christ.
